What You Need To Know

American Lager can broadly be considered to be in the Pale Lager category being made up of largely commercial beers with similar color and weight. Advertisers make much of the differences found or perceived between these commercial brews but in truth, the similarities out number the differences. These beers are prized for their light character and drinkability. While beers of this style are most often associated with consumers of "simple taste" they do have their place with adventurous beer drinkers. American Lagers are great thirst quenchers, ideal on hot and steamy days. Rounding the bases of a softball diamond with thick and rich Stout would just be ridiculous. American Lagers are sometimes mistakenly labeled with the Pilsner moniker. This is far from reality and is simply an attempt to confuse consumers.
