Oak Mountain Winery Cabernet Franc South Coast 2006 (USA)

Brick, earthy, rustic red color. The nose is dominated by an austere minerality, scents of forest floor and dried black cherry note. The palate is a bit more generous offering ripe berries and cherries with flanking tart earth and spice accents. Stewed fruits emerge on the finish that lingers with dried herbal notes and black pepper.
