Enotria Dolcetto Mendocino 2007 (USA)

Bright ruby red to purple color. The nose is fresh with the scents of freshly crushed berries, ripe cherries, and a big dose of oak. The palate matches the nose with the supporting wood notes playing a bigger role here. The fruit core is wonderful albeit a bit hot. We find ourselves more enamored with what the wine could be as the oak is overpowering at times. Still, there is enough charm found in this wine to warrant Three-Stars.
