Quivira Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley 2007 (USA)

FEATURED

Bright ruby red color. The nose is classic Zin in all of the right ways showing dense, complex black berry notes with a dose of wild berry and accents of anise, allspice, clove, and pepper. The palate captures the promise of the nose delivering layers of ripe and semi-dried berries with brown spice, black pepper, vanilla, and a stylish touch of oak. Ideally balanced with great length showing that a wine can be hedonistic and stylish all at once. Bravo!

Quady Black Muscat “Elysium” California 2007 (USA)

Bright, deep ruby red color. The nose is beautifully floral with sweet notes of ripe fig, dense cherry, and raspberry. The palate echoes the nose being ultra ripe and dense with harmonious notes of cassis and raspberry jam. A lovely dessert wine that begs for a creme brulée.

Quady Muscat “Red Electra” California NV (USA)

Brilliant ruby red color looking like a dark rosé. The nose is filled with scents of sweet spring flowers, wild honey, and bright, fresh aromas of sweet grapes. The palate echoes the nose being sweet while very lively with balancing acidity that keeps this wine sprite and fresh. A real charmer that works great with any fruit based dish and surprisingly well with custards.

Quady Orange Muscat “Essensia” California 2007 (USA)

Brilliant golden orange color. The nose is amazingly playful and complex offering scents of spring flowers, apricot, white peach, honeysuckle, Clementine oranges, and lychee. The palate is in full agreement with the nose being surprisingly zesty and refreshing. Not at all cloying with a long lingering finish that becomes increasingly zesty and filled with dried fruit notes. Terrific!

Quady “Deviation” California NV (USA)

Incredibly deep golden color with touches of orange and amber. The nose is uniquely floral with botanicals being the dessert wine world’s answer to gin. The palate entry is sweet and dense with the flavors of apricot and peach preserves. The palate quickly evolves to its spicy elements becoming drier with notes of lemon zest and ginger accented by a mélange of herbal tea flavors. Wild, complex, and compelling.

Quady “Starboard - Batch 88” California NV (USA)

Deep garnet to brick red color. The nose is wonderfully complex offering scents of dried black fruits, anise, black tea, dark chocolate, and cassis. The palate is in full agreement offering waves of ripe and dried fruits steeped in a dense fruit compote. The waves of fruit are accented by notes of clove, allspice, and nutmeg. Incredibly fresh and lively. Beautiful.
